Virginia/August Wilson Theatre tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a spot in the heart of New York City where history, passion, and a bit of magic collide? The Virginia/august Wilson Theatre is exactly that. Nestled just a stone's throw from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, this venue has seen some truly unforgettable moments. Remember when Denzel Washington and Viola Davis tore into Fences in the early 2010s? That show drew crowds from all over, sparking conversations about race, family, and dreams that still linger today. The theatre isn’t just about big-name revivals though, it’s also a playground for fresh voices and bold stories, like the acclaimed production of The Band’s Visit which snagged serious awards, proving its knack for showcasing quality and diversity. Whether you're into classic dramas, lively musicals, or something totally out of the box, this place has you covered. Plus, if you’re like me and hate rushing, just grab a cab or plan ahead, it’s a short walk from the bus terminal. And hey, finding the best seat isn’t a problem either, check out their interactive seating chart. Whether you want front row intimacy, VIP exclusivity, or a budget-friendly spot, there’s something for everyone at Virginia/August Wilson Theatre. Trust me, catching a live show here is an experience you won’t forget.
